I'll Drink To That!

The team from our Mermaid Office recently enjoyed the 2019 Brewers Luncheon held at Nobby Beach Surf Club. I know what you are thinking …… but it was a wonderful insight into the fast-growing Australian craft brewer’s industry. Three of our country’s most successful brewers owner and founders gave us a brief and interesting rundown of their somewhat turbulent road to success.

Unlike the big multi nationals, craft brewing is an industry that fully supports local farming, supports innovation, supports local business, employs local people and supports an all-inclusive social environment.

Our MC for the afternoon was Steve Hawkins a local horse racing personality and race caller, who embroiled us all in hysterical laughter with the calling of The Brewers Cup 2019 which was won by $#@) &%^#, I seriously can’t tell you. Unfortunately, our horse “Realty Brew” is still running.

Living on the coast we were delighted that all proceeds from the afternoon were donated to local Surf Lifesaving clubs.
